Seen through the eyes of a Black Caribbean woman navigating a gentrified, predominantly white town, The Other Side of Townexplores friendship, betrayal, and the costs of belonging.

Inspired by true events, Trust is a gripping psychological drama rooted in the cultural fabric of Black Caribbean life in 1980s Britain.

When a lecturer assigns her students to research miscarriages of justice, one case hits disturbingly close to home implicating her fiancé’s family. Suddenly Maya is thrust into a moral and emotional crisis. As loyalties fracture and the walls close in, she must decide whether to protect the life she’s building or expose a buried truth that could destroy it all. Set in Cardiff in the tense aftermath of COVID-19, Buried Truth unfolds through the perspective of a sharp, unapologetic Black British woman confronting the intersections of history, justice, and identity.

In a post-NHS Britain facing a fertility crisis, a government-backed programme uses AI to rank pregnancies deciding who receives care, and who quietly disappears. When pregnant journalist Zaria begins to investigate, she discovers a chilling system of control. But as her own score starts to fall, she realises she’s not just reporting the story she’s living it. With her unborn child’s life at stake, Zaria must expose The Index before it decides she doesn’t deserve to survive. Told through Zaria, a Black British woman, the series explores how race, class, and systemic bias are embedded in systems of control.
